Frequently asked questions
What exactly are GARDEN guides?
Think of it as a "stencil for your soil." Our templates are durable, 3D-printed guides that help you carve out precise, professional-looking flower bed shapes—like hexagons, waves, or flowers—without needing professional landscaping tools.
How do I use it on an established lawn?
It’s simple: Place the template on your grass, trace the edge with a spade or edger, and remove the turf within the lines. Once the soil is clear, you’re ready to plant!
Can I reuse the templates for multiple beds?
Absolutely. We use high-quality, weather-resistant materials designed to be used season after season. You can create a repeating pattern across your entire property with a single set.
How does this help the bee population?
Traditional lawns are often "green deserts" for pollinators. Our templates are designed to be paired with native wildflower seeds. By replacing small sections of grass with these intentional shapes, you create "pollinator pitstops" that provide essential nectar and habitat for bees.
Do I have to use specific flowers?
While you can plant anything, we provide native wildflowers in each kit. Using wildflowers ensures the best support for your local bee species and requires less water and maintenance.
Will attracting bees to my yard be dangerous for my kids or pets?
Most solitary bees and honeybees are non-aggressive when foraging. By creating dedicated "bee zones" with our shapes, you’re actually teaching pollinators where to go, keeping them busy and happy in the garden rather than near your back door.
What are the templates made of?
We use PLA, which is chosen for its durability and outdoor longevity. Although Bio-Degradable if left in the ground, our templates are designed to provide an outline that can be followed using stone or brick and the guides can be used again for another design or next-year.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Every template is printed to order at our workshop. Typical lead times are 5-10 business days for production, followed by standard shipping.
How many square feet of garden space do I need?
The approximate square footage of lawn needed for any of the 20 FREE disigns is 6' x 6' or 36 square feet. On average, a healthy wildflower meadow of this size can typically support dozens of bees simultaneously during peak bloom.
Does the box come with flower seeds?
Each GARGEN guides kit comes with 20 guides and a package of wildflower seeds. You can download Step-by-Step instructions here.
