Follow the Sequence you chose!

Follow the sequence for your chosen design. Interlock the guides at the letter indicated for each step.

Remove Topsoil and grass

Clear the grass and topsoil from inside the area defined by your Garden Guides.

Add new planting soil

Fill the cleared area with 3 inches of garden soil, leveling it within the borders of your guides.

Add permanent border

Place a permanent border of brick or stone around the outside of your design. Once the border is secure, remove the Garden Guides. They are designed for reuse—feel free to start a new plot elsewhere in your lawn or store them for next season.

PLAnt some flowers!

We visited our local farmer's market and purchased some great flowers/plants to support pollinators in the early spring. We planted pansies, creeping chives, and lantana.

Pansies: Act as a vital early-season food "bridge" when other nectar sources are scarce.

Creeping Chives & Lantana: Provide high-volume, energy-efficient nectar reservoirs during the peak growing season.

Use your GARDEN guides again somewhere else or next year!
